Shadow, my very sweet yet mischievous 11-month-old pup, decided she was ready for a five-star dining experience—straight from the trash can. Her delicacy of choice? A women’s feminine pad. Classic Shadow.
Cue my panic and a rushed trip to Good Dog Veterinary Care. From the moment we arrived, the team handled the situation with professionalism, compassion, and (most importantly) a straight face, which I imagine wasn’t easy.
The vet tech reassured us with their expertise, while Shadow looked at me like, ‘What? It was delicious.’ They carefully checked her out, induced vomiting to remove the foreign materials, and ran scans to make sure everything was out to ensure she was okay.
Shadow is back to her regular antics, the trash can now has a security system, and I’m forever grateful to the staff at Good Dog. If your dog has a taste for adventure (and questionable culinary choices), this is the place to go!

The good dog was able to get me in a same day appointment on a Saturday to avoid an unnecessary emergency vet visit due to being out of town for the weekend. The vet was intelligent and explained everything she was doing & why. The rooms were clean & smelled good. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a new vet. If I was closer, we would go to them for all her visits!

If you are in search of a Vet, look no further! You MUST go here. My family and I cannot say enough good things about this Vet or recommend them enough!!! We are so very grateful to everyone in this office for the AMAZING care they took of our sweet dog Nala in her final days and how they comforted us when we had to say our goodbyes. We were all in such a heartbroken and vulnerable state and they made this experience as peaceful/ pleasant as it could be and went above and beyond to console us. They sent us a card with handwritten condolence notes from everyone in the office and included sweet remarks about Nala, which made all of us cry happy tears to know that our dog made an impact on them. After our first visit there, they even thanked us for coming to their office and included a Polaroid picture taken of Nala that is such a special keepsake to have. We will be going here for our other dog Oakley and any future pups any of us have! Thank you so much, Good Dog East Cobb, for being so much more than a vet and feeling more like friends!!

I cannot say enough good things about Good Dog!! The veterinarians are absolutely incredible and treated our dog like their own. Not only that, but the office itself is so warm and welcoming. We started taking our dog here in October and we couldn’t be happier that we did. In early December our dog wasn’t acting like herself and when we brought her in it turned out she needed immediate surgery to save her life. Not only did they get us in right away-but they saved her life that night. They stayed after hours (many hours) to perform her surgery. They were so unbelievably kind and loving during such a scary and terrible time for us. They explained everything to us so clearly and have been so beyond helpful after everything. Sadly, after her surgery we also found out that our dog had terminal cancer- but we are so thankful that we have the best vets in town taking the best care of her during the time she has left. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have the time we have now with our sweet girl. We are forever grateful for the incredible doctors and techs here. I HIGHLY recommend this Good Dog if you want your dog in the best hands.

Good Dog Veterinary Care East Cobb has earned my trust and gratitude. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff and doctors have been incredibly kind, thorough, and attentive to detail. They took the time to carefully explain various treatment options for my dogs, ensuring I understood each choice and its potential benefits. They've been upfront and transparent about pricing plans and the senior care plan options. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients and their families. Our golden girl loves going to Good Dog! She has been a loyal patient since we brought her home 2 years ago. I'm so glad the East Cobb location is up and running with the same quality care we got from the other locations. The staff is wonderful and environment is spotless. Dr. Alvey takes such good care of our fur baby and we are so impressed with the compassion she demonstrates for pups and parents.
I am so thankful for the care that Good Dog Veterinary Care provided for my pup Nelson. This was my first visit after looking for a new veterinarian. The care team was very attentive and gentle with Nelson. They were also transparent with the cost prior to treatment. No unexpected fees and Nelson started to feel better soon after being treated. Lastly, I received a beautiful card from the care team with a photo that they took in the back. I am so pleased that Nelson looks at ease..
