Dr.Rice is the best! She has done extremely well with all of my dogs. I have 3 GSDs and one GSP. All of them (my pups) can be a little hesitant at the vet but the team at Good Dog always makes them feel welcomed. I love how they give us a Kong with peanut butter to help make the visit as stress free as possible.
I also recommend this vet to all of my dog training clients as well and all of my clients have had a positive experience. So if you are looking for a vet office that really cares and does the best with dogs then you should consider Good Dog Veterinary in Smyrna.

I have a newly adopted dog who is nervous about medical treatment, and everyone has been so understanding, patient, and kind as I "drop in" to get him acclimated. Also, I had to get him neutered, and the whole process was handled so well.
Excellent service, very comfortable, everything explained. Highly recommend.
We took our 11 year old German Shepherd Max to their office located in Smyrna, GA. We were preparing to have Max euthanized due to his age, hip dysplasia and an unknown sickness that he was battling. Upon entering the office we were greeted by name at the front desk. These three ladies proved to be awesome in so many ways. We were initially met by a young man named Aaron who took notes about Max and his problems. He was patient, courteous and showed great empathy for what Max and our family were going through. The doctor, a young woman who has obviously found her true calling, provided us with information, possibilities, and most importantly, how our decision would affect Max. We learned that Max had been battling a cancerous tumor on his spleen and his heart. The tumors had burst causing this series of medical problems. With this information we made the decision to euthanize Max. While they prepared Max for the procedure, we met two more young men. One that made Max's paw print for our son and daughter and the other who delivered them to us. Max was euthanized a short time later with the doctor, Aaron and our family of five inside a suite. They were unbelievably patient and talked us through what we should expect during the procedure. Once Max was gone, they prepared him for the short trip home where he was buried and we could visit his grave.
These folks are amazing! Each of them stayed after hours to support and help us through this difficult time. The office is beautiful and caters to the families and their pets. While this all may sound outrageously expensive, it is just the opposite. They performed a series of tests including the initial examination, a blood test, ultrasound, having Max euthanized, preparing his body for transport home as well as drinks and snacks for our family throughout the appointment.
While we left with our hearts broken, I cannot imagine having to go through something like this without them. These are the kind of people that give my family hope for a world with love, understanding and compassion.
I apologize for not remembering all of your names. It was all I could do to get through this event. You are all amazing people. Thank you for all that you did for our family.
