Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a current DVM license to practice in GA
- Demonstrate the ability to show empathy toward clients and treat dogs with respect and compassion.
- Accurately perform medical examinations, order diagnostic procedures, diagnose medical conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications
- Successfully perform routine surgery and routine dental procedures while demonstrating the desire to grow and develop advanced surgical and dental skills
- Understand the value of teamwork and enthusiastically lead a support team daily
Preferred
- Advanced surgical skills including experience with advanced oral surgery, c-sections, gastrotomies, enterotomies, splenectomies, GDV, pyometras, and other emergency surgeries
- Specialist level skill sets including internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, breeding management, rehabilitation, acupuncture, and advanced ultrasound training
- Demonstrate a strong desire to grow as a leader within Good Dog Veterinary Care. We are currently seeking DVMs who desire to become Lead Veterinarians at future locations as well as a full-time Medical Director
Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:
- Multi-task by prioritizing and triaging patients
- Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies
- Focus on your role as a DVM: diagnose, prescribe, perform surgery, maintain medical records, and communicate with clients. Empower your support team to perform other daily tasks
