The Good Dog Vision
It all started with a vision from Dr. Patrick and Natalie Singletary… to have a practice that truly cared for their team, their patients, and their clients. To have a practice where clients felt served and seen and the patients received the highest medical care. To have a practice where the team knew the value of their hard work and were on a mission to serve each other and their clients and patients each and every day. An added bonus to this vision? The vision also included the idea for an “all-dog,” canine-exclusive practice where the focus is on what the team loves most – dogs. This vision became a reality in 2019, and our first location, Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb, opened in late Fall 2019. Good Dog Veterinary Care is the first and only “all-dog” veterinary practice in the state of Georgia.
Like all beginnings, Good Dog Veterinary Care started small. We started as a 1 DVM practice with 3 Team Members, and by the Fall of 2022 had grown to a 4 DVM practice with 25 Team Members. That growth led to the pursuit of another vision and another dream. This time we started thinking bigger. How could we positively impact more team members, more families, and more patients while still maintaining our personal feel and exceptional client care? The idea for a second location was born!
Our second location, Good Dog Veterinary Care Smyrna, will open in the Summer of 2023 with the same mission and core values as our first location. We are thrilled to be able to bring our vision and exceptional veterinary care to dogs and families in Smyrna as well as in West Cobb. Thank you for trusting your dog to our care and helping us make the “Good Dog Difference” at both of our locations!
Our Leadership
Dr. Patrick and Natalie Singletary are the owners and founders of Good Dog Veterinary Care. They, along with the Good Dog Veterinary Care Team, are on a mission to be a light in the veterinary medicine field. The Singletarys thoroughly enjoy the leadership side of practice ownership, and they feel called to pour into their team, their patients, and their clients each day.
The Singletarys are proud members of Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta. In their free time, you can find Dr. Singletary and Natalie cheering on the Dawgs in Athens or spending time at Lake Rabun with their German Shorthaired Pointer Mix, Lilly, and their German Shorthaired Pointer, Grits.
Both Dr. Singletary and Natalie each bring unique gifts to the practice… and that’s why they work so well together!
Patrick Singletary, DVM
Medical Director + Head of Business Development
Dr. Patrick Singletary is a proud “double dawg” and a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Throughout his undergraduate and veterinary school years in Athens, Dr. Singletary held numerous leadership positions on campus including President of his undergraduate fraternity (AGR) and veterinary fraternity (OTS). Other leadership positions include President of the UGA Veterinary Business Management Association, membership in AGHON, and membership in other distinguished UGA organizations.
Professionally, Dr. Singletary thoroughly enjoys working on complex internal medicine cases, ultrasound imaging, oral surgery, and soft tissue surgery. His vision when starting Good Dog Veterinary Care was to bring an exceptionally high standard of care to every patient while also educating owners on ways to help their dogs live their best “Good Dog” lives. Dr. Singletary also enjoys staying connected to the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, and he is a mentor to many veterinary students. The team is excited to welcome over 25 veterinary student externs into our practice in 2023 and 2024 for mentorship opportunities.
Natalie Singletary
Head of Brand Development
Natalie Singletary is a Charleston, SC native and UGA alumn. Prior to joining the team at Good Dog Veterinary Care full time, Natalie opened, owned, and operated two successful Pure Barre studios in the metro Atlanta area for over six years. Her first studio opened the day that Dr. Singletary was taking the NAVLE his senior year of veterinary school. You can say that’s when the entrepreneurial journey for the Singletarys truly began! During her time of Pure Barre ownership, Natalie led a team of over 40 women as well as built out two separate locations.
Natalie’s expertise in business development, business branding, and business marketing were crucial to starting Good Dog Veterinary Care in 2019. As Good Dog Veterinary Care continued to grow and thrive, Natalie went full time with Good Dog Veterinary Care and “officially” took on the role of Head of Brand Development in early 2022. Currently, Natalie plays a key role in strategic business development and expansion opportunities, oversees all marketing initiatives, and coordinates our externship and collegiate outreach programs. In her free time, Natalie is an avid marathon runner and enjoys spending time back in her home town of Charleston.
