Give Your Dog the Care They Deserve
We are excited to serve you at our Smyrna location!
Meet the Team

Dr. Ries Reinstein grew up in Sandy Springs, GA. She is a proud “double dawg”, having earned her Bachelor of Biological Science and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at UGA. Dr. Reinstein is honored to be able to take care of your dogs through every stage of life. She has a special interest in oncology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.
When Dr. Reinstein isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys cooking, restoring furniture, and traveling with her soon-to-be husband, Joe. But most importantly, she loves snuggling on the couch with her dog, Dave, and cat, Rickie.

Dr. McKenzie Rice is so excited to be a part of the Good Dog Veterinary Care Team at the new Smyrna location. She attended the University of Georgia where she first obtained her degree in Animal Science. Then, in true UGA fashion, she went back-to-back and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Rice has a bluetick coonhound, named Walter, that has been by her side throughout her journey. Dr. Rice’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is not only having the privilege to work with her sweet patients but also getting to form connections with clients and help strengthen their bond with their beloved pets. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with friends and Walter, and visit her family at the beach in Florida!

Dr. Thane Boyce grew up in Muncie, Indiana, as the son of a small animal veterinarian. His father gave him experiences that established his love for animals. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and then earned his Doctorate at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent four years working at a small animal practice in Houston, Texas, before moving to Georgia.
Dr. Boyce enjoys fostering the human-animal bond between owners and their pets and especially loves talking to new dog owners about that exciting experience. His other special interests include ultrasound, echocardiography, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Boyce’s family includes his wife, Katharina, his toddler daughter Amelia, and two cats. In his free time, he and his family love a variety of activities, including cooking, hiking, kayaking, camping, and traveling internationally.

Dr. Cierra Dunham is a proud Double Dawg, having earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. A longtime Dawgs fan and lifelong animal lover, Dr. Dunham is thrilled to be part of the Good Dog Veterinary Care team.
With a compassionate approach to care, Dr. Dunham brings a thoughtful nature and unwavering passion for veterinary medicine to our practice, fulfilling her lifelong calling to the field. She has a special interest in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, and client education. Whether she’s guiding a Good Dog through a procedure or answering a client’s questions with care, she believes in building trust and creating a low-stress experience for every patient and family.
Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find her soaking up the sunshine with her Doberman, Aurora—enjoying nature and the simple joys of life with a Good Dog by her side.
