Meet the Team

Dr. Greer Gafford Pratt has always had a deep love for animals, and she grew up surrounding herself with animals of all kinds. When she was nine years old, Dr. Pratt spent the morning shadowing her family’s veterinarian, where she instantly fell in love with the profession. When her mother came to pick her up at lunch, she begged her to stay the rest of the day. From that day forward, Dr. Pratt knew her dream was to become a veterinarian!
Dr. Pratt grew up in Smyrna, Georgia. She completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), where she competed on UGA’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Following her graduation from UGA, she made a big move from Athens, Georgia to Grenada, West Indies to begin her veterinary education at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. On the island, Dr. Pratt gained experience with animals ranging from tiny puppies to the Leatherback Sea Turtle, the largest sea turtle in the world! For her final year of veterinary school, Dr. Pratt returned to Athens, Georgia to complete her clinical rotations at The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Pratt’s special interests include dentistry, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. She looks forward to helping your “Good Dog” live their very best life!
In their free time Dr. Pratt, her husband, and their yellow labrador River will be found exploring the outdoors (River’s preference is to be near any body of water)!

Dr. Jacquelyn Terrell grew up in Roswell, GA, and completed her undergraduate studies in Animal Sciences at Auburn University. Combining her love for both animals and travel, Dr. Terrell decided to pack her bags and move to the island of Grenada for her first three years of veterinary school before completing her clinical training at the University of Georgia.
Her special interests include internal medicine, specifically endocrinology and multisystemic diseases. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys playing pickleball, snuggling her beloved pitbull, Bea, and finding new trails to run on.

Dr. Sam Warner is a proud Cobb County native and is thrilled to be back home serving her community. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and then ventured to Auburn University to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
After veterinary school, Dr. Warner served as both an Army Officer and Veterinarian, spending the past 7 years caring for Military Working Dogs while stationed overseas in England, Turkey, and Guam. She retired from the Army in 2024 and returned to Georgia to continue her veterinary career.
Dr. Warner has a special interest in canine sports medicine, behavior and training, and emergency medicine. She is Fear-Free certified and is currently completing the Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist Program to expand her skills and better serve her patients.
At home, Dr. Warner is joined by two wonderful dogs: a Golden Retriever from England and a Boonie Dog from Guam. She recently purchased a small farm where she’s excited to one day welcome horses, mini cows, and goats. When she’s not caring for your Good Dogs, Dr. Warner enjoys international travel, hiking, and fostering dogs in need.

While Dr. Tillis’ entire family works in the human medical field, she realized early on that human medicine wasn’t her calling. However, she couldn’t shake her passion for medicine and hands-on care. After a summer job as a veterinary assistant, she knew veterinary medicine was her passion. Why not put her lifelong love of animals to good use, thought Dr. Tillis, by serving as a veterinarian? She hasn’t looked back since!
Dr. Tillis is a “double dawg” and graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. In fact, Dr. Tillis and Dr. Singletary were classmates and graduated in the same class from the UGA CVM! Danielle lives with her husband James, two children, and Odin (their “goofball” of a Great Dane). Dr. Tillis and her family love all things Georgia sports: the Braves, the Falcons, Atlanta United, and UGA football. Chop on. Rise up. Unite and conquer. And of course, Go Dawgs!

Dr. Alex York grew up in Marietta, GA, just a few miles down the road from Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb. She is excited and honored to get the chance to serve the people and dogs of her hometown. Dr. York is proud to be a “double dawg”, having graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. While Dr. York loves the different specialties of veterinary medicine and the opportunity to learn new things every day, she is especially interested in dermatology, cardiology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. York also loves helping dog parents build a strong foundation with their puppies at an early age. Her passion for veterinary medicine is rooted in the opportunity to serve her community and to build relationships with people and their dogs over a lifetime.
Dr. York and her husband, Austin, are the proud owners of three Labradors: Lucy, Ruby, and Dame. They enjoy Saturdays in Athens cheering on the Dawgs, lake days with family and friends, traveling, and hosting game nights with good people and good food!

Dr. Thane Boyce grew up in Muncie, Indiana, as the son of a small animal veterinarian. His father gave him experiences that established his love for animals. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and then earned his Doctorate at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent four years working at a small animal practice in Houston, Texas, before moving to Georgia.
Dr. Boyce enjoys fostering the human-animal bond between owners and their pets and especially loves talking to new dog owners about that exciting experience. His other special interests include ultrasound, echocardiography, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Boyce’s family includes his wife, Katharina, his toddler daughter Amelia, and two cats. In his free time, he and his family love a variety of activities, including cooking, hiking, kayaking, camping, and traveling internationally.
